At all three locations – These five-day sessions for middle school age campers are loaded with more advanced adventures. Each session has a unique theme but they will all be awesome!

Boldy Bound
Location: Eastern NE 4-H Center, Gretna
Camp 510: June 16-20

The 4-H zip line, high wires, climbing wall and rappelling are only the beginning of your bold aventures at this camp! We’ll be traveling to Lincoln where we’ll scale UNL’s 55-foot-tall “Alpine Tower,” dare the “Double Tree Diamond,” and zing on the “Giant’s Swing” at UNL's Campus Recreation Course. We will also spend an afternoon at the Lincoln Children’s Museum. If the T.R.U.S.T. course isn't enough, you’ll also get to canoe the Platte River, and swim and fish at Louisville State Park.

Our most popular camp continues. This incredible session is co-sponsored by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. For both the beginner and the advanced camper, this week will build your outdoor skills. Expert one-on-one instruction will teach you about shotguns, rifles, muzzle loading, archery,
fishing, hunting, canoeing, camping, trapping, and more. This camp fills up fast, so register today!

 

Get Muddy


 
Aquatic Blast
Location: Eastern NE 4-H Center, Gretna

Grab your swimsuits and slide into camp for a super-soaked splash bash! You’ll attend exclusinve morning 4-H Camp parties at Mahoney State Park Water Park, including the wave pool, HUGE water slide. Back at camp, we will play mud Gau Gau and get M-U-D-D-Y on a creek stomp. You’ll be slipping down the water slide during the day, polar bear sliding in the early morning. A soaking experience.


 
Survivor SC Style
Location: South Central 4-H Center, Alma

A new twist to survivor this year! Can you really survive the oudoors at South Central? Eat in the lodge or rough it outdoors? Have you ever seen a pig run that fast? Imagination wondering yet? We'll throw in new games and races but won't forget the T.R.U.S.T. course, campfire, Gau Gau and fishing. If you think you can hack it, sign up today!


 
Veterinary Science
Location: South Central 4-H Center, Alma

Do you love animals? Have you always wondered what it would be like to be a veterinarian? The Discover Vet Science camp is a hands-on way to explore what it is like to be a veterinarian. Campers will learn about care for different animals and learn about real veterinary principles. Of course, campers will also have time to enjoy camp traditions, canoeing, creative arts, the T.R.U.S.T. Course, the water slide and more!


 
Summer Camp Olympics
Location: State 4-H Camp, Halsey

Bring on the excitement! On June 23, the torch will be lit. Come join in our Olympics here at camp. You don't know what skill you will need, something between chicken clucking and Frisbee golf. You will be challenged in all areas! Top off the excitement with the T.R.U.S.T. course and zip line. In the evening we will get in a game of glow in the dark golf. Come and see if you will bring home the gold.


 

Grossology

"Ewww!" A typical word heard during this camp! If it's gross, we are doing it! Look at those, touch this, smell that. We've got the camp T.R.U.S.T. course, Gau Gau and fishing. But we've got gross stuff, too! Bugs and mud don't even compare! 


Nighttime Navigations

More of a night owl that an early bird? Then this camp is for you. We'll sleep in and then enjoy camp in a new light...or no light at all! Don't forget Gau Gau, canoeing and the T.R.U.S.T. course. But when the moon is high, that is when the fun begins. If it's more fun at night, we have it here! Campfire brings on a whole new meaning when it STARTS the activities!


Amazing Race
Location: State 4-H Camp, Halsey

International Friends

This is the CAMP! Join a team and test yourselves
on our adventurous trails and challenges. Follow a series of clues to see if your team can be first to cross the finish line. The challenges will be wacky, crazy and fun! Find answers to our clues at the bottom of the zip line, the top of the climbing wall or even while canoeing. See if you can make it to the end!


 
Niobrara Kayaking and Tubing
Location: State 4-H Camp, Halsey
Camp 411: July 7-10

This trip down the beautiful Niobrara River is unique. Whether you are floating on a tube or steering a kayak, this will be an experience to remember. We will learn how to kayak and then spend two days tubing and kayaking on the river’s most scenic stretches. You’ll also get to spend the night near Smith Falls, Nebraska’s largest waterfall! Time off the river will be filled with many of our favorite camp activities. The experience is limited to the first 25, so register early! 


Sandhills Sampler

Outback Halsey (Survivor)

It's back! You won't know where you are going or what you can take with you. That's right, it's your chance to be a survivor! Learn how to survive out in the open and live off the land. Challenge yourself to get back into civilization using GPS and your own senses. Maybe tug-of-war across the river or putting a puzzle together will get you a hint or an award. A camp that asks for more confidence than competition. Are you up to the challenge?

 

 
Summer in the Sun for Girls

Shooting Sports

Talk about a camp that will be a blast! You will go home saying, "I've done that." We're going to get creative in the kitchen, followed by a game of glow in the dark baseball. How will we get that hair to last in a splash bash party in the river or a ride down the zip line? No hints. Top off the camp with our "silly supper" and all night slumber party. A camp you won't want to miss out on...No boys allowed!


 

Up, Up, and Away

Location: Eastern NE 4-H Center, Gretna

If it has to do with aviation and flight, you wil find it at this camp. Zip down the zip line, climb the high wires, build and fly bottle rockets, explore the sky at night and tour Offutt AFB. On the tour, you will see the flight line, stop by a maintenance hanger, and visit the fire department. We'll travel to Lincoln to tour Duncan Aviation and the Nebraska Air National Guard facility. Finally, you will be locked in overnight at the Strategic Air and Space Museum. Aviation to the extreme! NOTE - A security alert may cancel the Offutt visit.

 

 

Microscopes and Spotlights

Location: Eastern NE 4-H Center, Gretna

Use your deductive reasoning and scientific skills to solve a dinner theater mystery and find out, "What evil lurks in the hearts of men!" We will bring back an old 4-H camp traditiion - the talent show. We'll crank up the karaoke machine, dust off the spotlight and let it all hang out. Additionally, we will spend two mornings at the Mahoney Water Park practicing our synchronized swimming. Finally you'll join us for our annual Luau and sandbar party complete with roasted pig (apple and all). What a great way to end the summer!

 

 

Nebraska International Camp

Location: Eastern NE 4-H Center, Gretna
July 7-11
 

Be a part of this unique summer camp! Experience small group sessions throughout the day where you will learn how to speak French, German or Spanish. All skill levels welcome, from the beginner to the experienced student.
