What is it?The Healthy Clubs Challenge is a newly revised initiative for 4-H clubs. It has evolved out of the 2005 Healthy Clubs Challenge program and is something we hope to continue! The goal is for all 4-H club members to learn more about physical activity and healthy eating while having fun! This year’s initiative is based on the new 4-H projects, Fast Foods & YOUth in Motion. We will be recognizing those clubs who participate at State Fair. Click here to find out more about the State Fair Event. We would love to know what kinds of things your club is doing! There is a check box next to each activity in our “Ready to Roll” section above. It is ready to print so you can take it to your club meetings to keep track of your club's activities. After the summer, we will be inviting clubs who have been active in the Healthy Clubs Challenge project to a special event at the Nebraska State Fair designed especially for them!
Be sure to take photos of your activities because we encourage you to create a poster or display that highlights what you have done. We want to feature your efforts at the State Fair event. More information will come out on this soon. Also, we would love to feature your club on this web site (see examples from last year). These are only some ideas for what your club can do. If you have other great ideas, please submit them under the Healthy Ideas Forum. We will put the information you give us on the Healthy Clubs Challenge website to share with other 4-H'ers.
NOTE: By submitting information, you are giving us permission
to post your ideas, we will not post names.
