IN-SERVICE OBJECTIVES
Participants will be able to:

  • Increase their understanding of technical tools available and how to use and implement them
  • Articulate the educational purpose of using specific technologies in programming
  • Demonstrate how to translate or develop content for technology-driven delivery
  • Utilize sound teaching methods in all Extension programs
  • Demonstrate the philosophies of teaching in Extension

REGISTRATION FEE

  • Full Time Registration
    Dates: Tuesday-Thursday, January 13-15, 2009
    Cost: $75/person
    Includes: Tuesday evening reception (light meal at the Country Inn and Suites), Wednesday lunch, snacks and beverages during breaks, supplies).
  • Daily Registration
    Date: Tuesday, January 13, 2009
    Cost: $35/person
    Includes: Tuesday evening reception (light meal at the Country Inn and Suites), snacks and beverages during breaks, in-service supplies.

Date: Wednesday, January 14, 2009
Cost: $55/person
Includes: Wednesday lunch, snacks and beverages during breaks, in-service supplies.

Date: Thursday, January 15, 2009
Cost: $35/person
Includes: Snacks and beverages during breaks, in-service supplies.

LODGING
In-service attendees are responsible for making arrangements for the reservation and the payment of lodging.  A block of hotel rooms have been reserved at the Country Inn and Suites [5353 N 27th Street, Lincoln, NE; (402) 476-5353] under “4-H In-Service” at the Country Inn and Suites until December 21, 2008

BRING TO IN-SERVICE
A detailed registration confirmation sheet outlining the suggested materials to bring to the In-Service will be shared with participants by December 19, 2008.  However, all participants are asked to bring the following items with them, if possible:

  • Laptop computer with battery and charger (not necessary, but recommended)
  • Educational program or idea that participant would like to enhance teaching method/style with technology
  • Extension name tag
  • Parking tag

REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
