Lil’ Green Mascot

Thank you for your interest in using Lil’ Green at your district/county event!

Lil’ Green was developed to increase awareness of the Nebraska 4-H Program amongst potential 4-H youth and parents. While the primary target audience of Lil’ Green’s development has been youth who are eligible to become members of the Clover Kids 4-H Programs or young members of traditional 4-H Clubs, people of all ages are naturally attracted to Lil’ Green in a variety of settings.

Rental Procedures

As a district/county who is interested in using Lil’ Green, please complete the following steps:

  1. Read and review Rental Agreement Form (located in the Lil’ Green Instruction Manual)
  2. Submit dates of event you would like to have Lil’ Green present to Tracy Pracheil at tpracheil2@unl.edu
    • Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-serve basis
    • Districts/counties who have not used Lil’ Green before may be given priority
  3. Upon tentative approval of event dates, locate a Mascot Manager
    • Mascot Manager may be a UNL Extension staff member or a 4-H Volunteer.  The Mascot Manager’s duties include:
      - Arrange for the transportation of the mascot
      - Care/maintain the mascot
      - Manage mascot volunteers
      - Assist mascot volunteers with using the mascot
      - Troubleshoot any potential mascot problems
      - Complete and return the Lil’ Green Mascot Evaluation
  4. Complete Rental Agreement Form (located in the Lil’ Green Instruction Manual) with appropriate information and signatures; return to the Nebraska State 4-H Office, ATTN: Tracy Pracheil at:

  5. Have Mascot Manager review all information in the Lil’ Green Instruction Manual and begin preparing for Lil’ Green’s appearance(s)
  6. Upon receipt of the invoice for your rental fee after the event, submit payment (if applicable)
