Wacky Wipeouts!!!
Session 401, Saturday, June 15 - State
A day filled with fun. Be ready for our wacky wipeouts made just for your age. You will be having fun as you navigate our wacky wipeouts obstacle course. After our fun in the water, we will make an awesome craft to take home. Best of all, you will be able to make new friends. Come and make this day a little wacky.
Barnyard Palooza
Session 402, Saturday, July 20 – State
The search will be on to find a needle in a haystack. While playing mud Gau-Gau, you might end up looking like pigs in a mud hole. Take a crack at tossing eggs to see who can get the most in one nest. We will get a little crazy as we get “moooving” to some dances and “clucking” a few songs. We might not be milking cows, but we sure will be churning butter or making ice cream.
Wet N’ Wild Day Camp
Session 501, Friday, June 14 – Eastern – I
Session 502, Friday, July 5 – Eastern – II
Session 503, Saturday, July 6 – Eastern – III
This camp is a chance for younger campers to see the best camp has to offer. The day will start “wild” as a wildlife expert will bring live animals to camp. In the afternoon you will do some fishing and canoeing at the Schramm State Park. make sure you bring a swimsuit because the day will end with a water party and trips down the enormous water slide.
Family Camps
Rough’n It Family Camp
Session 403, July 12-14 – State
It’s going to be a weekend to remember as campers spend time with mom or dad at camp. Campers of both genders are welcome! Enjoy a weekend together in the Nebraska National Forest in Halsey where you can experience fishing, canoeing, tubing, shooting sports, campfires, and lots more. Campers should be age 8 or older. Each camper registration fee includes a chaperone. Additional registrations are $75.
Explorer Camp Sessions
Build It, Make It, Take It
Session 404, June 3-5 – State
Here is your chance to be creative. Pick a project from baking, clothing, entomology, forestry, shooting sports, wildlife, or woodworking and build it or make it. You don't need to be in 4-H to take home the Grand Champion Prize, and the project is yours to keep. It will be exciting to see what you can create. Additionally, experience all camp has to offer. Canoeing or kayaking down the Middle Loup River or zipping down the 400-foot zip-line will keep your days action packed. Join us to build it, make it, and take it!

Session 406, June 30-July 3 - State
Watch out and beware - it might be you who has one of the wacky wipeouts as you go through our wacky wipeouts obstacle course. How far will you advance through our wacky course? Be ready to get wet, wipeout, and have lots of fun! You will be able to compete for the big Wacky Wipeout Trophy and many other wacky prizes. Along with a trip down the Milddle Loup River and our 400-foot zip-line, your days are going to be wacky!
Tank & Tube the Loup
Session 407, July 22-24 – State
Get ready for an AWESOME adventure! This is the only session that features tanking down the Middle Loup River. Creek stomping is a camp favorite too! End the day with an unforgettable campfire and settle down in tents under the stars for the night. Cook breakfast over the fire before heading back to camp to take a ride down the zip line or sail across the high wires. Not enough? Cool off while tubing during the hot afternoon and zoom down our waterslide.

Session 409, July 21-Aug 2 - State
Do you want to find yourself on the pages of your very out camp scrapbook? You will have a chance to learn different techniques to take great photos and creatively capture your memories in a scrapbook. Additionally, you will have a chance to zip down the 400-foot zip-line and experience all the other adventures camp has to offer. Find yourself in our camp photo shoot, say cheese!

Session 505, June 13-15 – Eastern – I

This session is a camper favorite every year! You’ll spend a night in the Henry Doorly Zoo for some nocturnal ed-ZOO-cation. We’ll take a guided after-dark zoo tour and another one just for us in the morning before we head back to camp. We’ll also be zooming down the zip line and the elephant-sized waterslide back at camp. These sessions fill up fast – sign up today. You’ll go “APE” for it!

If there’s water around, you’ll be in it! Dive into an exclusive morning 4-H Camp party at Mahoney State Water Park, including the Wave Pool and HUGE waterslides. We’ll spend an afternoon at Louisville State Park swimming and building sand castles. At camp, you’ll play some Gau Gau and get muddy while creek stomping. You’ll be slipping down the awesome 115-foot-long waterslide during the water party and soaking up camp experiences all week long!
Aquatic Blast Mini
Session 507, July 7-10 – Eastern
This is the perfect session for those campers who can’t spend a full week at camp but still want to experience all the best water activities we have to offer. You’ll do all the same activities the full length Aquatic Blast does, but we’ll have you home in half the time.
Sky’s the Limit I
Session 506, June 16-19 – Eastern
If you love things that fly, then this is your camp. We will be spending a night at the Strategic Air Command Museum, and you’ll get to see all the airplanes and space craft on display. You can build your own water-powered rocket and launch it into the sky. Many traditional camp experiences will be sprinkled into the schedule of aerospace-based activities.

Waterbound
Session 605, July 1-3 - South Central
With the Harlan County Reservoir close by, we'll canoe and fish practically in our own backyard. We'll make a splash, catch some waves and explore the slides, or relax on the lazy river at a local water park, swim in the reservoir, and hang out on the beach. We'll spend an afternoon doused in water and finish the day with a cookout! You have go to check out our mud pit too! No gills are needed, just a camper ready to take the plunge and get wet!

Outback Halsey
Session 413, June 24-28 – State
Excitement and challenges at this camp will be found by camping out at the Calamus Reservoir in Burwell. We will try our hand at canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, while putting in some playtime at the lake before we head back to Halsey. Cooking over the fire will be something you won’t forget. Back at camp we’ll go tubing, shoot shotguns, and practice archery, as well as do some trapping to see what comes out at night. Before the week is done, we’ll fly down the zip line and take in our awesome waterslide.
Outdoor Skills
Session 521, July 14-20 – Eastern
One of our most popular camps continues! This incredible skill development opportunity is cosponsored by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. For both the beginner and the advanced camper, this week will build outdoor skills. Expert one-on-one instruction will teach you about shotguns, rifles, muzzle loading, archery, fishing, hunting, canoeing, camping, trapping, and more. This camp always fills. Join us as we discover more by doing!!
Sandhillz Sampler
Session 411, June 10-14 – State
Sample the best of what State 4-H Camp has to offer! Plan your customized afternoon camp schedule from a list of many possibilities, including canoeing, tubing, rappelling, climbing, fishing, arts, and shooting sports. Be ready to sing camp songs, play camp games, like Gau-Gau. At night, curl up around the campfire while watching a movie on the outdoor big screen. You have the freedom to choose what activities you want to do! This camp is truly what you make it!
Niobrara Kayaking & Tubing
Session 416, July 8-12 – State
Experience a trip down the beautiful Niobrara River. Whether you’re floating on a tube or steering a kayak, this will be an adventure to remember! We’ll spend two days tubing and kayaking on the river’s most scenic stretches. We’ll spend the night under the stars near Smith Falls, Nebraska’s tallest waterfall. Time off the river will be filled with games, campfires, and laughs. This experience fills up fast, so register early!
Ultimate Girls Rock
Session 414, June 30-July 3 – State
Join the girls in a four-day slumber party. Talk about a camp that will rock. Girls will learn how to cook, sew, put on makeup, and fix their hair. How will we ever get that hair to last in a trip down the river or a ride down the zip line? (No hints!) There will be outdoor movies on the big screen, campfire one night, with star gazing another night, and, of course, our famous dress up slumber party. Before going home, girls will have a “surprise dinner.” You won’t want to miss this camp.

Outdoor Skills - Extreme Hunting and Fishing
Session 415, July 7-12 – State
Do you want to become a skillful and proficient hunter and angler? One of your most poplular camps continues with a focus on hunting and fishing! This incredible outdoor skill development opportunity is co-sponsored by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. For both the beginner and the advanced camper, this week will take your skills to new heights in hunting, fishing, and other outdoor pursuits. Expert one-on-one instruction will teach you about shotguns, rifles, muzzle loading, archery, fishing, hunting, tracking, canoeing, camping, and more. Along with all of the outdoor fun, you will experience the many activities camp has to offer!
Extreme Robotics/GPS/GIS – Year 1.0
Session 417, July 28-August 1 – State
Session 518, June 30-July 4 – Eastern
This extreme session incorporates hands-on and self-guided learning in conjunction with 4-H SET GEAR-Tech-21 Curriculum and robotics program. The camp experience includes LEGO MindstormsTM NXT robotics and activities to gain knowledge of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Build and program a robot and learn how to operate a handheld GPS receiver for navigation and map making. You will also get to experience all kinds of fun camp activities including: the waterslide, shooting sports, zip lines, and campfires.
Note: The cost of the Robotics/GPS/GIS session is supplemented by a National Science Foundation grant. These sessions are for youth who have an interest in science, engineering, and technology, and include more indoor activities than traditional summer camp sessions. Campers will have additional paperwork for data collection.
Advanced Robotics/GPS/GIS – Year 2.0
Session 418, July 28-August 1 – State
Session 519, June 30-July 4 – Eastern
In cooperation with 4-H SET GEAR-Tech-21 curriculum and robotics program, this session is for the camper who has previously attended a 4-H robotics camp. Campers will experience newer challenges, advanced mapping activities, and robot soccer. Experience traditional camp activities including: the waterslide, shooting sports, zip lines, and campfires.
Boldly Bound
Session 517, June 17-22 – Eastern
BOLDLY discover Nebraska’s only Odyssey Course and experience eight high rope team events. Continue the challenge by going down all the zip lines in camp, crossing the high wires, climbing the climbing wall, and rappelling down the tower! We’ll also travel to the UNL Outdoor Adventures Challenge Course near Lincoln where you’ll scale the Alpine Tower and swing on the Giant Swing. Once everyone is done swinging, we’ll make a stop at the UNL campus to enjoy some ice cream from the Dairy Store. If flying high isn’t enough, you’ll get to swim at Louisville State Park.
Shooting Skills
Session 607, June 17-21 – South Central
In partnership with Nebraska Game and Parks and the Holdrege Silhouette Club, this camp is for anyone wanting to practice, improve, and excel in shooting sports. Trained instructors will provide technical assistance and education in the following areas: muzzle loader, bow and arrow, shotgun, .22 rifle, air rifle, BB gun, hunting skills, and environmental awareness. Campers who successfully complete this camp will graduate with their Hunter Safety Education certificate administered by Nebraska Game and Parks. Take advantage of this great opportunity.
Sky’s The Limit II
Session 516, June 16-21 – Eastern
Have you ever stared into the night sky and wondered “What’s up there?” It’s time to find out. This six-day camp features an overnight stay at the SAC Museum, building and launching three differently powered model rockets, and a trip to the Mead Observatory where you can gaze into the night sky. At this camp, the sky truly is the limit.

Outpost camp is for those campers who want to learn to rough it. We will be pitching tents in the Schramm State Park woods and cooking over an open fire. You’ll hike back to the 4-H Center each day to partake in all the fun activities like the T.R.U.S.T. Course, waterslide, canoeing, and fishing. This is camping at its best.

Aquatic Skills
Session 700, June 24-27
Learn to water ski, operate jet skis, ride on wakeboards, and cruise in kayaks! In partnership with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, we are hosting a trip to the Calamus Reservoir. The first day will be spent at the State 4-H Camp learning water safety and earning Basic Boating Safety Certification. Then we’re off in camp vans with our camping gear to the campsite at the reservoir. Evenings will include a tour of the Fish Hatchery, campfires, and other camp favorites. This session is limited to 20 campers so register early.
Tube & Kayak the Niobrara
Session 701, July 15-19
Tube and kayak the beautiful Niobrara River. Before getting in the water, we’ll spend the first night at the Nebraska State 4-H Camp where we will explore the Nebraska National Forest and zip down their awesome 400 foot zip line. Then we’ll drive on to Valentine to begin exploring the Niobrara’s canyons and discover the Nebraska Sandhills region. We’ll spend a morning at Smith Falls, Nebraska’s tallest waterfall, sleep under the amazing starlit skies, and cook over a campfire. This trip is limited to 20 campers. Get signed up right away.
