At Unicameral Youth Legislature, youth take on the role of a state senator for three days, debate bills, discover how a bill becomes a law, learn the importance of compromise and good debate, and much more!
Youth will learn communication, problem solving and team building life skills by working with legislative aids, members of the Clerk of the Legislature staff, State Senators and the Governor.
Unicameral Youth Legislature is for all youth who will be in grades 9-12 following the summer of the event, and who have an interest in politics and state government.

The event is held in early June, in conjunction with Big Red Summer Academic Camps.
A tuition fee is charged and includes all meals and programs. A limited number of scholarships are available.
Registration information is currently available online, and is limited to the first 55 applicants.
