WHEP 2010 will be at Fort Robinson State Park

Identifying Wildlife Foods: In this activity, each participant identifies and categorizes types of food used by wildlife and indicates which groups of wildlife use these various foods.

Interpreting Wildlife Habitat: By identifying features on aerial photographs, each participant will rank four aerial photos by their suitability for habitat for specific species of wildlife and give a verbal defense (oral reasons) for their ranking.

On-Site Habitat Management Recommendations:Various practices will enhance habitat for different species of wildlife. Each participant identifies practices that will increase habitat for specific species in an actual field setting.

Rural Wildlife Management Plan: In this team activity, participants are given a specific area to manage for one or more species of wildlife. They develop a plan to increase the desired species of wildlife, while taking into consideration the land-owners objectives, financial or other restrictions.

The Urban Landscape and Backyard Habitat Plan: This is also a team event. It is very similar to the previous activity, only done in an urban setting.
