4-H'er working with his dog outside

National 4-H Council

Are you and your dog at home with nothing to do? Have you thought of training your dog, but didn't know where to start? Join our Nebraska 4-H Virtual Dog Club to get started training your dog at home! You only need a few minutes each day to build a relationship with your dog and improve their behavior.

The Nebraska 4-H Virtual Dog Club will provide members with training tips each week delivered through short videos. New materials will be shared each week and cover a variety of topics related to the 4-H dog project, including training, show prep, and showing. Participants may review materials at their own pace and practice dog training skills, prepare for their county and State Fair, and build relationships with their canine companions. Members will have the opportunity to submit videos of their training progress and receive feedback from dog experts. The club is open to all 4-H youth. Training will focus initially on beginning obedience and will expand to showmanship and agility as skills increase. New members can join at any time and catch up on past weekly materials at their own pace. For questions, contact Lisa Karr at lisa.karr@unl.edu
