Resources for Youth
Living Room Learning is back for the summer of 2021 – and it’s a plus for everyone! Living Room Learning+ offers hands-on, virtually guided activities for youth. Each session focuses on a new activity that can be completed with inexpensive, easy-to-find materials. The finished project may be showcased as an exhibit at a local county fair (optional). Each session will be recorded and made available on-demand. Youth do not need to be 4-H members to participate.
Tune in for the Boredom Buster Challenge! Each week, youth will be given a problem to solve using materials found in their home. Through these hands-on virtually guided challenges youth will learn about entrepreneurship, healthy living, science, technology, and more! Each session will be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing. Youth do not need to be 4-H members to participate.

Self-paced activity videos are designed to guide youth in completing a project at home. To work at their own pace, youth may pause videos, complete a step, and resume the video when they're ready. These videos can help youth prepare fair exhibits, complete science projects, and learn about a topic of interest.

The Nebraska 4-H Companion Animal Webinar Series is a great way for 4-H leaders, parents, and senior aged youth to gain knowledge in various companion animal-related topic areas. Each session, a new topic will be covered with various experts joining to share their experience and expertise.

The Equine Webinar Series is an opportunity for all youth, parents, and volunteers to gain knowledge of a variety of equine topics. Youth do not need to be enrolled 4-H members to participate. Webinars are held on the second Monday of each month.
Videos & Handouts
The Nebraska 4-H Livestock Information Series is a resource for 4-H members, leaders, and parents to gain knowledge in various livestock-related topic areas. Each session, a new topic is covered with experts joining to share their experience and expertise. Extended learning opportunities and supporting documents are also available for each topic.
Video Lessons for K-6th Grades
The 4-H STEM Reading Connections program is designed to support literacy development, encourage curiosity through STEM, and spark an interest in 4-H. The videos are designed for K-6th grades.
The Dog Showmanship Video Series includes maneuver descriptions, demonstrations, and general information for youth interested in learning more about dog showmanship. The short videos are intended to help youth while practicing with their dogs in preparation for 4-H showmanship.
Nebraska 4-H is thrilled to offer the first-ever project of the year kit! This year's kit introduces youth to the exciting world of entrepreneurship through the TEC Box curriculum! The kit includes the curriculum and materials youth need to complete four hands-on activities that lay the groundwork for a county fair and state fair eligible exhibit!
Companion Cat Science is a self-paced learning opportunity offering educational information about caring for and showing cats. The online course is great for middle-school-aged youth but is open to all youth regardless of age who are looking to learn more about cats and the 4-H cat project. Companion Cat Science is great resource for anyone interested in caring for or learning about cats in 4-H whether they own one now or not!
Companion Rabbit Science is a self-paced learning opportunity offering information about caring for rabbits. Self-Paced Lessons for Ages 9-14
Do you enjoy learning STEM and have an interest in learning about real-world medical problems? In this engaging hands-on self-paced camp, youth will use the engineering design process to work through Biomedical Engineering challenges. Youth will participate in activities like Nanotechnology in the Body, Laparoscopic Surgery, Biomedicine in Space, and Prosthetics and Pills. Youth will also get to experience a Biomedical Career Day.
Online Place Space for Ages 1-8
A Beautiful Day is an online early childhood space designed to connect with children and families. A Beautiful Day provides resources to help adults foster learning and play and to support caregivers while practicing social distancing.

STEM at Home offers interactive, engaging, and fun go-to resources to help teachers! Science lessons are available for all grade levels and are designed to give youth the opportunity to gain knowledge, meet the Nebraska State Standards, and prepare youth for the next grade level.

Smart Cents at Home take home activities are developed from the Smart Cents financial health guidebook. Developing sound financial skills early in life can have positive implications as youth grow into adulthood. These activites are great for getting the whole family involved!

4-H Clover Kids is the officially recognized program in Nebraska for children under the age of 8. A variety of project and activity guides designed to provide 5 to 7 year-olds are available in a variety of topics areas.
Join Nebraska 4-H as we go on-site to learn more about science, technology, careers, and more! Virtual field trips offer facility tours, educational experiences, and additional resources for teachers. Each session will be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing. Offline Activity Guides for Clover Kids
The Nebraska 4-H Clover Kid Fun Pack is a collection of timely virtual and at-home learning opportunities. Each week throughout the summer, we'll release a new Pack that includes 4 activities a day for Monday through Thursday. Activities will include a combination of self-paced lessons, as well as live virtually guided experiences. Check back each Thursday for the following week's 4-H Fun Pack.
