Note: Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle or Saddle Seat Walk – Trot Pleasure classes may be held in combination or as separate classes. Exhibitors must wear attire that is appropriate for the style of horse being exhibited and comply with appointment requirements.

Tack and Attire
- Refer to Western, Hunter or Saddle Seat tack and attire requirements on pages 17-26. Also refer to individual tack and attire rules for Western Pleasure (page 40) and Hunter Under Saddle (page 48).
- The saddle should fit the rider and the horse should be suitable for the rider's ability and size.
Class Entry Requirements
Individual shows should set their own age and Horsemanship Level requirements for entry into the Walk–Trot Class. It is suggested that individuals entering the Walk–Trot Pleasure class not enter the regular Pleasure class. However, individual show committees are urged to set their own entry guidelines.
Class Description
This class is to be judged on the execution of a walk and jog/trot by the pleasure horse. Class Routine Horses are to be shown at a walk and trot/jog in both directions and may be asked to back. The judge may choose to use all or part of the arena.
