This spring, Nebraska 4-H is proud to launch Signing Season, a national celebration recognizing high school seniors and the exciting paths they have chosen beyond graduation. Taking place through May, Signing Season honors both the next steps of Nebraska 4-H youth and the journey that prepared them to be Beyond Ready for life after high school.

Nebraska 4-H provides youth opportunities to build a strong foundation of Beyond Ready skills, by:

  • Fostering Purpose – direction, motivation, and a sense of meaning
  • Promoting Personal Integrity – ethical decision-making, honesty, and reliability
  • Promoting Goal Setting & Management – persistence, critical thinking, and problem-solving
  • Promoting Caring & Connection – compassion, generosity, and consideration for others
  • Supporting Responsibility – self-discipline, accountability, and perseverance
  • Encouraging Growth Mindset – creativity, curiosity, and originality

A Nebraska 4-H Signing Season online photo story celebration will be featured at 4h.unl.edu in mid-May. The statewide showcase will highlight and honor 4-H graduates from across Nebraska and the incredible journeys that have prepared them to be Beyond Ready.

As America’s largest youth development organization, 4-H empowers 6 million young people nationwide with hands-on learning experiences through clubs, camps, school programs, and community events. Through the Beyond Ready initiative, 4-H will help prepare 10 million youth for work and life by 2030. To learn more about 4-H, visit 4h.unl.edu.
