The Robotics Expansion Event is an exciting showcase of innovation and collaboration in the field of robotics. Join us on March 15-16, 2024, for a two-day event filled with thrilling competitions, demonstrations, and networking opportunities. Explore the world of robotics and technology, engage in hands-on learning experiences, and witness the creativity of young minds at the forefront of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) exploration. This opportunity will be in conjunction with the 2024 FIRST LEGO League Challenge Championship.

Location

The Robotics Expansion Event is held at the on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln City Campus in Lincoln.

Admission

There is no fee to attend this event and the event will be open to the public.

Parking

Friday: Participants and spectators will park in surface Lot 5/Lot C, west to the 14th and Avery Parking Garage.

Saturday: Participants and spectators will park in surface Lot 5/Lot C, west to the 14th and Avery Parking Garage. Participants and spectators will also have access to park in the 14th and Avery Parking Garage.

*These lots normally require a permit to park but we have rented these lots for the event and a visual permit will not be required.*

Overflow parking will proceed to metered street parking.

Food

Nebraska Union

Friday Only: The Nebraska Union will have on-site food options and seating areas for teams to eat on campus. Teams will be allowed to bring in outside food to the Nebraska Union. Check this link the week of March 11, 2024 for a list of restaurants and hours of operation.

Note: The Nebraska Union will be closed on Saturday. Please no small appliances requiring electricity or bringing in outside tables for a food setup station.

Campus Recreation Center

Friday and Saturday: Teams can bring in outside food to the Campus Recreation Center but in limited areas. There will be no food or drinks (except for water) allowed in the Cook Pavilion due to the turf flooring. Food and drinks are welcome and allowed in the Coliseum stands, entrance to the City Campus Rec, and limited table seating. Concessions will not be provided at this event. Teams can call in food delivery from a local food venue and eat in limited areas.

Note: Please no small appliances requiring electricity or bringing in outside tables for a food setup station.
