State 4-H Horse Demonstration contest will consist of junior and senior individual division, and junior and senior team division (2 contestants per team). Contestants must not have participated in official post-secondary competitive events of a similar nature in the same subject matter area.
Contestants will conduct a 9- to 12-minute demonstration or illustrated presentation. Live animals may be used, although state winners may not use live animals at the national contest. Subject must pertain to the horse industry or be horse related, and must be original and factual (the demonstration may only be performed once at a state contest).
The senior winner is eligible to represent Nebraska at a national or regional horse demonstration contest.
