Frequently Asked Questions
1. When is the deadline for the Horse ID forms and Advancement Levels?
- Horse ID's need to be submitted to your county office and signed by the Extension Educator by June 15th, then a copy of the signed ID form should be submitted to the online submission folder for the virtual horse show. Advancement levels need to be completed by June 15th.
2. Will exhibitors receive feedback from judges on their entries? Will they see other entries in the class?
- Yes, we will post results, scoresheet, and feedback for each class. We also plan to allow youth to see other entry videos and showcase some videos when we announce results through the website and social media.
3. Do you have to enter by 6/15 or can you enter and submit videos anytime during the submission period?
- You can enter anytime between June 15th and July 6th. Videos need to be filmed anytime between June 8th and July 6th.
4. Can an exhibitor enter the same class with different horses/unlimited entries for an exhibitor?
- No, youth will be limited to one entry per class but they may enter all classes as long as they have passed the appropriate advancement level.
5. Will there be ribbons and trophies for Grand & Reserve? How will these be awarded?
- Color placing ribbon (purple, blue, red, white) will be awarded for all classes and 1st through 6th. We will not be awarded Grand and Reserve and no trophies will be given. However, depending on sponsorships and the number of entries, additional awards may be given in classes as well as fun awards.
6. What about Stampede (specifically hippology, horse judging, and horse quiz bowl)?
- We are planning to host these contests at a later date.
7. How much are entries for the State Show and for Stampede?
- Entry fees are $5 per class with a one time $5 office fee. There is no fee for the fun classes. Stampede contests are $10 per entry.
8. What classes are not available this year?
- Barrels and Poles
9. What things are you doing for last year seniors?
- All seniors should have received an email regarding special recognition. More to come in the following days.
10. How will results be posted?
- The results will be posted through social media and the website.
11. Can a horse that is in Western pleasure also be in Bareback Pleasure?
- Yes! Fun classes are not limited to that restriction.
