4-H Static Exhibitor Resources

4-H static exhibits at the Nebraska state fair

Enrollment Deadline

Youth interested in exhibiting at their county fair or the Nebraska State Fair must complete enrollment by June 15.

Enrollment Instructions

Premier Science Award

All exhibits are eligible! The Premier Science Award is open to any 4-H member with at least one static exhibit selected for State Fair. Exhibitors may apply with one exhibit from any project area/department. An award application should be completed and turned in to the county Extension office by the county's deadline. A select number of exhibits will be chosen to receive a cash award.

Static Exhibit Entry

All static exhibits will be entered by county Extension staff.

Static Exhibit Release

All static exhibits will be released to the county Extension staff unless the proper documentation has been submitted.

Exhibitors or families wishing to pick up their own static exhibits from the Nebraska State Fair must complete an Exhibit Hall Release form and submit it to their local Extension office before August 20. The Exhibit Hall Release form must be obtained from your local Extension office. Proper paperwork must be signed by the exhibitor/family and county Extension staff. This form gives non-Extension personnel permission to pick up items after the fair. The designated person listed on the form will be responsible for picking up the item(s).

Exhibitors who have correctly completed and submitted release forms may pick up their exhibit(s) on the final Monday of the State Fair from 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. or the Tuesday after the State Fair from 8:00 a.m.-noon. Exhibits must be checked out before being removed from the exhibit hall. The person picking up the exhibit must be ready to sign for the exhibit and show their identification.
